Benefits of Almond Milk

Today Tonight just did(25th Sept 2014) an expose on Almond Milk and how so many on the market have so little Almonds in the milk. In fact they quoted the majority of the ones on the shelf had as little as 2 to 4%, with the highest being 12%, so concluded that the benefits were not really there.

Hard to argue with such low percentages, but the other question to look at is, if in the right proportions of Almonds to milk is it good for you. Then to ask so how can I increase the quality of the Almond milk I drink.

Let’s tackle the second question first.

The simple way is to make your own Almond milk, then you can control the % of Almonds to milk as well as what goes into it. Typically shelf milks have fillers, preservatives and the like to make them last. So if you make your own and refrigerate, you are in control. The reason people don’t make their own in our research is that it involves, fuss, mess and time and a Nut Milk bag…… UNTIL NOW.

There is a product on the market that allows you to make your own Almond Milk, no mess, no fuss and no Nut Milk bag, using a device called a Chufamix. Details can be found at www.thebluecrane.asia

Typically the percentage of Almonds to water is 25 to 30%, and it is all Organic(if you use organic Almonds) and no hidden nasties.

So now to the first question, is Almond milk good for you. Here are some facts.

1) Almond milk contains a good source of Vitamin E, so slows aging and helps prevent cancer, through being High in Antixodants. It also contains Flavonoids which help reduce the number of free radicals in the body, helping to prevent degenerative diseases such as osteoporosis and type 2 diabetes.

2) Almond Milk is Good for the Heart.

It contains no cholesterol or saturated fats, unlike COW’S milk, so won’t damage your cardiovascular system. High in omega-3 fatty acids it helps with lowering ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol, and protects the heart.

3) Almond Milk has high levels of Vitamins and minerals, much higher than Rice and Soy products.

Copper, zinc, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Selenium. Some other milks are fortified with some of the above, they all occur naturally in Almond Milk.

4) Almond Milk has little in the way of fats and Calories.

At about 40 calories a serve, it is great for those fat and calorie conscious amongst us.

5) Almond Milk has NO animal by products.

If you make it at home and control what it contains, Almonds + Water, add some natural dates for sweetening perhaps, so it is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.

Conclusion.

Almond Milk is good for you, but so much better for you if you make your own. With the new Chufamix product you can do so in minutes. Look at how by visiting www.thebluecrane.asia.
